Meet Blue Okie Anger’s Evening Star Ashley
June 25, 2001
Little Joe & Cat’s litter, 2001

These are Ashley during the 2nd leg of her HCTs (Herding Capability Test sheep). These were taken Oct. 2, 2003, she received her 1st leg April 19, 2003. Ashley is only 13.5 inches tall and 13 pounds. Full of heart and a lot of drive.

She is tenacious when she is out there doing what she was born to do, Ashley just comes alive. She might be small in size but don’t let that fool you! She lets those sheep know who’s boss. When the sheep try to intimidate her she gives them the “no way guys, I’m the boss” She just steals the show and hearts of all that watch and meet her. It is so much fun to see. Ashley has so much tenacity that she has even earned herself the nickname of Ashley the “Tazmanian Devil”. She puts a lot of big dogs to shame. It’s true that big things do come in small packages.

MEET ROCKY

One of our very special pups. His owner, Craig Chappen, sent us this picture to let us know how well Rocky is doing and to tell us that Rocky is now The #1 Point Earner for Flyball in North America for his breed. On September 24th we heard from Craig, he let us know that Rocky and Josie had a mini familiy reunion, they're half brother and sister (Little Jo is their dad). Caryn brought Josie to a fylball tournament in Amana, Iowa so Rocky and Josie could meet each other. It was a great time for all. Thank you Craig and Rocky for sharing with with us and keeping us updated. Keep up the good work.

MEET JOSIE

Here's another one of our special pups we want you to meet, Josie. We recently had an email from her owner, Caryn, to let us know how well she's doing. Josie is now three years old. Her parents are Little Jo and Rosie. According to Caryn, Josie is a big attraction at the Agility Trials. She started competing in June of 2001 and has gone all the way thru the UKC Agility programs and has received UAG1, UAG2, UACH, and UACHX, she acomplished this by late February 2002. Caryn and Josie are exploring other venues as well. Josie received a Standard Qualifying leg along with First and Second Places in USDAA in Snooker and Gamblers. This was quite a challenge for Josie as she is only 12.5 at the withers and she had to jump 16" that weekend. She also tried CPE (Canine Performance Events) and in one weekend (outdoors in the wind and rain)she received 6 out of 9 qualifying runs and finished with 5 first places, 3 second places and a 3rd place. She will be competing in the CPE Nationals on June 8-9, 2002, just south of Chicago. Caryn and Josie have recently been competing in AKC trials and Josie is doing quite well there too. Josie is a very intense and agile dog and she is not only winning in competitions, she's winning the hearts of everyone who meets her.

Thank you Caryn and Josie for taking the time to share this with us.
